The Wiggle Worm

Today I had a Dr. appointment. I originally had one for this Monday but I was still trying to get over a head cold and decided it would be best to reschedule and not contaminate their office full of other pregnant women :) In order to get in this week I had to see a different doctor then my usual OBGYN. I was a little nervous becuase I LOVE DR. McClouskey, but figured this is a good test period for me to meet other doctors in her practice. I had Dr. Thayes, she and her nurse were very sweet and answered all my questions.

I feel one of the hardest thing about pregnancy is the "FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN." This is my 1st pregnancy, my body is going through so much changes, emotionally, physically, so much is different than what I have been use too the last 25 years. I can not see my baby inside of me growing, I can not feel it moving around, so it makes me nervous in my everyday actions... am I eating enough, am I drinking enough water, can I drink this coke today? am I suppose have this pain here. Doctors tell you to go about your everyday life style, well I usual have two meals a day, work out and only catch 5 hrs of sleep.. I DON'T THINK that is what is BEST for the baby. It is so hard when you are so use to doing daily things for yourself (it is so EASY to figure out what you want..) BUT it isn't about ME anymore it is about US, and MY ACTIONS DETERMINE THE HEALTH OF THIS BABY! Talk about pressure...

I know what all you ALREADY parents are thinking "GET USE TO IT" this is your life now you are going to be worrying about every step you make with this baby...

So at today's doctor appointment I went in knowing in advance that this appointment was just a check up and to get blood work done. So NO ultrasound = no Hubby! However, I love getting to hear the heart beat, it is by far the most incredible sound in the world for me. As I was laying there on the bed anxious to hear BABY B, the cold jelly being smeared acrossed my belly, I am looking at my nurse that has a puzzeled face. She is having a hard time getting the baby's heartbeat... OH GREAT!... then we hear it, then no more, she moves the probe across to the other side of my belly and catches the heartbeat again then it went away, BABY B was making us chase it back and forth to catch it's heart beat. We finaly was able to get a good rating, 144 beats per minute... SHE SAID THAT's PERFECT :) She then goes .."MAN YOU HAVE A MOVER ON YOU"

MY BABY B. THE WIGGLE WORM...

Well our next appointment will be exciting, ON DECEMBER 28th @ NOON WE WILL GET TO FINALLY FIND OUT WHAT BABY B WILL BE!!! Yea, I have been waiting for this next step it seems like forever... finally I get to do what I do best for this baby.. SHOP!

I ask you to please continue to put MY GROWING FAMILY in your daily prayers. Thank you so much for all your support!
