Goodbye Facebook, Onto Blogging!!

I did it! I did it! I finally got up the courge to say goodbye to facebook. Now I have more time to concetrate on blogging. SO GOOD BYE FACEBOOK AND HELLO BLOGGING!!So much has happen since my last post... I had my beautiful baby girl MALAYA LYN BATES on MAY 12th 2010 and I am LOVING every minute of being a mom. When I was pregnant I remember "MOMS" telling me how being a parent gives you a whole new perceptive on life and I remember this look on their faces as they talk about their child. It was an expression that they had; of JOY, FEAR, HAPPINESS, WORRY AND LOVE all rolled into one. I never understood "WHY" they had this experession till I held MALAYA in my hands. All I want to do now is protect her, love her. Everytime I look into those beautiful eyes my heart just melts and I can not help but smile.I know everyone says that having a baby changes your life but know one can ever truely ever understand the TRUE MEANING of those words till you are holding your own child. Malaya has brought NEW MEANING in the word "LOVE." Charlie and I never realized that we could love someone so much that it can physically hurt our hearts.
God truely blessed us with the miracle of life!

Malaya is 5 MONTHS old TODAY! Wow time is flying by and I don't think it will be slowing down anytime soon. In the spirt of FALL and Halloween, Charlie and I took Malaya to her first Pumpkin Patch. We had so much fun with her. Eventhough she can not do much and has no idea where we were at, it was just as much fun watching her as she trys to figure out what is going on around her. She loves to be outside and it was just the perfect day to capture all these first memories of her. I have a confession to make... at times I have to remind myself that Malaya is not one of my dolls I use to play dress up with as a child! BUT she is just too cute for me not too and she can't tell me NO yet so I am taking advantage of it!!!

I love this picture because it represents the stage she is at in her life. She started teething and her new nickname is "SLOBBER MONSTER." She now prefers putting her whole fist in her mouth over her pacifier.
