6 months blues...
I woke up this morning to the sweet morning cries of my precious daughter. I swept her up, craddled her into my arms squeezing her so tightly and whispered... "HAPPY 6 MONTHS BIRTHDAY MALAYA LYN" ... Happy 6 months! Where has the time gone? Didn't I just bring her home from the hospital??? Wasn't I just waking up every 3 hrs to feed her?
She is 6 months and she is sleeping thru the night, holding her own bottle and in the stages of crawling. I had just blinked and she grew up...
Looking back, the sleepless nights, the feeling of pure exhaustion were just a small moment in time. I catch myself saying, I can not wait till Malaya is old enough to __________. However, holding her in my arms this morning all I wanted to do is find a pause button and saver this stage of her life just a little longer.
"Happy 6 months Birthday Malaya" Love mommy and daddy

Living OUR BESTFRIEND DREAM!
Dear Lynsey,
I can not help but think about when we lived together in college, staying up all hours of the night talking about our future and how we had this elaborate plan of what we want our lives to be. We would talk about our wedding and who would stand beside us on our big day.. we basically had every detailed planned out in our head and the only thing we were missing was the GROOM..lol!
We always said we would live in the same neighborhood and be next door neighors and when our husband made us mad; "YOU WERE TAKING HIM FOR THE NIGHT;)" We aren't in the same neighorbhood "YET" but being only 20 minutes away works for now.
However one of subject we talked about most was being a MOM. We would lay in bed for hours talking about what we hope to do with our kids. From signning up for classroom mom, bringning juice boxes to soccer games to being apart of booster club meetings, we wanted to do it all. Our dream was very simply, we just wanted to be an amazing housewife and be an incredible mom.
Well my best friend we are there! We walked down the aisle, standing beside one another witnessing our "I DOs." Now we stand similing in this picture with our daughters only wishing they looked more like us then their daddies :) Soon you will be having your second lil girl. You will no longer be an incredible mother to one lil girl but to two precious little ones. You take so much pride in your job as a mother and I am so proud of you! Each day we get closer and closer accomplishing the hopes and desires we had for ourselves all those days in college.
We are living "OUR BESTFRIEND DREAM" together.
I love you my bestfriend!
Love,
your BestFriend

a SUPER Halloween...
BOOOO!!! Charlie and I LOVE Halloween. We love getting all dressed up and meeting up with friends, however this year it was a very different Halloween celebration for Charlie and I but we wouldn't have it any other way. We were so excited to get our little "TOOTS" dressed up in her first Halloween costume.... BAT BABY!!
IT'S NOT A BIRD, IT'S NOT A PLANE...IT'S BAT BABY!!!
Our first stop was at Champion Forest Baptist Church Fall Festival. My Aunt Vicki and grandmother "Nanny" were there to join us. I was so glad they were able to see Malaya all dressed up.
With Malaya only being two weeks short of 6 months, Trick or Treating was more for Charlie and I to show her off in her outfit ;) So what do you do when your little one isn't old enough to get candy.. A PHOOTSHOOT!!
....HERE WE COME TO SAVE THE DAY.....
Her Hero...
we're a SUPER BUNCH of FUN!!
I love the fall season becuase it means that the holiday season is near and I get to see my family more and more :)
One thing Malaya did get to do is ride on her first carousel...
As we walked around seeing all the little witches, superheroes and princesses go from trunk to trunk trick or treating it got me SUPER excited about trick or treating next year with Malaya.I just can not wait to walk her up to the door let her ring the door bell and hear her sweet voice say those three little words... "TRICK OR TREAT" Well I will just have to hold onto that image and enjoy her holding me because I know these days are going to soon be gone.
It was a SUPER fun day spending it with a SUPER amazing family ... Hope everyone had a SUPER Halloween !!
